Functional Dance-Movement and Dynamic Balance Training for Pedagogical Practice (FDT) develops pedagogical competencies in movement activities with a focus on physiological posture, movement coordination, and self-awareness. It includes the acquisition of basic skills, as well as selected techniques and concepts. The training focuses on the development of elegant and fluid movements arranged in sequences of varying lengths and difficulty levels, adapted to individual abilities.
Students will gain fundamental knowledge of the impact of FDT on well-being, the neuromuscular system, and personal development in different target groups.
The course provides a theoretical and practical introduction to classical ballet arm technique, the PortDeBras system, and the FDT complex system inspired by them.
FDT prioritizes proper movement execution, smooth transitions, fluidity, and elegance rather than performance.
