Annotation The course introduces key methodological principles of teaching English as a foreign language with an emphasis on communicative competence. Students develop practical skills in teaching receptive and productive language skills and learn to apply CLIL principles in classroom practice. The course also focuses on the effective use of digital technologies and learner-centered classroom management. Student will be able to: understand key modern methodological issues related to teaching English as a foreign language (methods of teaching, teacher and learner roles, learners' needs, classroom management, etc.) with the primary focus on the development of communicative competence; acquire knowledge, competences and kills related to effective teaching of English language skills - receptive (listening, reading) and productive (speaking, writing); understand and apply the principles of CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) in the teaching and learning process integrating subject content with language learning objectives; acquire and demonstrate academic ability to effectively apply modern digital technologies in the process of teaching and learning English; Effectively and adequately manage classroom with the focus on their learners Apply a variety of didactic approaches and strategies in the EFL classroom. Analyse, evaluate, and reflect their own teaching practice.
