Job description
- Participation in the project "Development of software for digital image analysis of data from common imaging modalities—ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging, and computed tomography—as auxiliary methods in the diagnosis of diseases of the brain, kidneys, and the vascular system, reg. no.: CZ.10.03.01/00/22_003/0000048."
- Programming activities related to the use of up-to-date AI techniques for automated analysis of medical data.
- Work on both research and applied projects, as well as commercial contracts.
- Collaboration on outputs in the form of analyses, source code, and scientific publications.
Qualification requirements – required
- Active knowledge of English at the B2 level.
- Advanced knowledge of Python, focused on data and research workflows – experience with OpenCV and Albumentations.
- Knowledge of the basics of working with deep learning frameworks, especially PyTorch (modular architecture, training loops, callbacks, checkpointing).
- Awareness of modern architectures for image and sequence processing: familiarity with the following concepts is an advantage – Transformers, Vision Transformers (ViT), Swin Transformer, and possibly multimodal architectures. Ability to modify and fine-tune SOTA models.
- Knowledge of basic concepts in computer vision, e.g., classification, object detection, segmentation, tracking.
- Understanding of ML / CNN topics – knowledge of supervised/self-supervised/unsupervised learning, metric learning, similarity, and individual components used in model training.
Research level
- R1 (Ph.D. student level); academic background in mathematics/computer science with a focus on data analysis methods, statistics, machine learning, etc.
The expected form of employment
- 0,3 – 0,5 (or by agreement)
The duration of employment
- the contract with limited validity 1 year and with a potential prolongation
The expected start date
- July 2026, eventually based on an agreement
