Annotation:Course is designed as an introduction to theoretical basis of geomorphology and pedogeography. Students are in lectures informed about basic paradigms, theory, conceptions and terminology of both disciplines. Emphasis is putted on understanding of geomorphological and pedogenetical processes and on the relationship between bedrock properties and forces working due to gravitation, endogenic processes, wind, water, ice, waves and man. A short field trip is included, focused on geomorphological and pedogeographical characteristics of the Ostrava surroundings and extension of the theoretical knowledge by practical demonstrations in the field.
