Annotation: | The course prepares students to conduct qualitative research independently. The student will learn how to develop a qualitative research design proposal containing a rationale for the choice of an appropriate research approach/method, data collection techniques and method of selecting informants. The graduate will be able to evaluate ethical dilemmas arising from the proposed research procedures and work with these in accordance with research ethics. The student is also able to evaluate the time and financial requirements of research and to carry it out. The student is able to evaluate the advantages and limitations of the chosen qualitative research strategy and methods used and reflect on these in the processing, analysis and interpretation of data. The student uses specialized software (Atlas.ti, MAXQDA, etc.) to analyze qualitative data. |
