Annotation:The course aims to equip students with essential literary terms enabling them to express themselves when discussing literary topics. Essential critical concepts and approaches are explained and illustrated through their application to passages from literary works by outstanding authors. Students will also find English literary terminology useful in their subsequent courses in British and American literature. The course is designed to expand students´ skills in interpreting literary works and in applying insights from literature to larger problems of culture and ethics.
