Annotation:The core content of the final term of bachelor's studies in the studio is the continuing work on theoretical and practical part of the final bachelor's project and getting ready for the expert part of the state final examination. Based on individual approach, the student at first discusses and schedules with his/her peer the stages of implementation of both parts of the thesis that falls into separate blocks of theoretical and practical part of the assignment. Since the theoretical part of the University Qualification Work (UQW) is conceived as a reflection of student´s own standpoints and anchoring them in the broader context of his/her activity as the author, it usually precedes the practical hands-on when creating the artwork. Here, the student gradually deepens and proves his/her ability to work with expert texts and other sources of information, as well as the ability to sort, further process and integrate them into the written part of the work. Special attention is paid (in cooperation with the peers of the Department of Theory) to compliance with the citation standard and the overall form of the written part. Bachelor's project and its practical part in its scope, size and nature of the material used, goes well beyond the previously implemented student´s term assignments and requires a systematic, pre-planned procedure. During the work process, the student undergoes frequent decision making in gradually conceptualizing his/her work, its final scope and size and meticulously plans the technological procedure that will be reflected in the overall performance producing the final result. Based on the nature of his/her task, the student works through the individual stages under the supervision of his/her peer and consulting with external specialists. Artwork adjustment is also part of the thesis, alongside with installation preparation that often includes searching for and securing off-school exhibition space and detailed project documentation. This becomes part of the written section of UQW. The three years study that aims at independent creation of an artwork on a professional level, is completed by brief defense in writing that is being presented during the exam.
