Annotation:The subject concurs with the general pieces of knowledge about language that students gained in winter semester in An Introduction to Linguistics. The lectures concentrate upon the clarification of system relations in the structure of contemporary literary Russian language. The students become acquainted with the subject, the basic morphological terms (grammatical categories of higher and lower order, morpheme and its types, analytic and synthetic forms, accentological type, the homonymy of forms, the classification of parts of speech). The aim of lectures is to broaden student's present knowledge of Russian grammar with a special emphasis to function and usage of individual grammatical forms in texts. The seminars concur with the lectures and they concentrate upon the active acquisition of grammatical forms and their usage in sentences. In the course of teaching there are applied the confrontation method (Czech-Russian differences and similarities) and functional-semantic principle. The attention is devoted to inference phenomena. The subject is taught in Russian.
