Annotation:The objective is to acquire fundamental knowledge that all healthcare professionals, including physicians, should possess regarding the field of medical psychology. This includes understanding the psychological origins of illnesses, the interconnectedness of stress with both the mind and body, the influence of the mind on bodily functions, psychosomatics, effective patient-physician communication, cooperation with different types of psychologists, facilitating positive personal change, patients rights and ethics, the basics of crisis intervention, and a foundational overview of psychotherapeutic methodologies and techniques. The course is also appropriate for individuals who are not healthcare professionals but wish to enhance their understanding of medical psychology.
