Overview
The English Philology programme is designed to educate graduates with an advanced level of language competence (CEFR level C1 – “proficient user”), who are capable of communicating in English in various communicative contexts and in various types of institutions.
The programme helps students develop integrated and balanced linguistic competence and expertise in all key areas of English studies: improving your English-language communicative competence, offering insight into the structure and systems of the English language, and developing a solid knowledge of the literatures and cultures of English-speaking countries. Students are encouraged to develop expertise and research skills that will help you complete your final-year Bachelor thesis project.
Careers
As English Philology graduate you will develop critical, analytical and communication skills, which enable you to pursue two possible paths: to continue your studies in our Master’s programme(s), or to enter the labour market. Our recent graduates have entered careers as diverse as tourism, the media, publishing, international relations, translating and interpreting, industry and commerce, and further studies.
