Job description

• Teaching bioinformatics and related subjects in bachelor′s and master′s degree programs.
• Preparing, innovating, and guaranteeing/co-guaranteeing syllabi and study materials in the field of bioinformatics with the possibility of introducing and implementing a new subject focused on bioinformatics for master′s degree programs.
• Supervision and review of bachelor′s and master′s (or doctoral) theses in the field of bioinformatics and related disciplines.
• Scientific and research activities in the field of computational biology/bioinformatics, or in broader biomedical fields, including publication in peer-reviewed journals, presentations at conferences, and participation in grants and projects.

Qualification requirements – required

• University degree in biology or related fields; Ph.D. (or equivalent).
• Teaching experience at university level (lectures, exercises/seminars).
• Publications in the field of bioinformatics/computational biology or biomedical sciences, active participation in professional conferences.
• Active knowledge of English at least at the B2 level.

Qualification requirements – preferred

• Experience in supervising and reviewing final theses.

Research level

• R2 – Recognized

• 20 % (or by agreement)

The expected start date

• 1 April 2026 (or by agreement)

The language in which the selection procedure will be conducted

• Czech (min. C1,C2)

The Dean of the Faculty is entitled to cancel the selection procedure or not to select any of the applicants without giving a reason.
