Qualifications and other requirements
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Environmental Geography, Landscape Engineering, Landscape Ecology or related fields
- Ph.D. studies completed (Assistant Professor)
- Ph.D. student aiming to complete doctoral programme in the near future – confirmation by the chair of the Ph.D. programme board required (Assistant)
- English language competency B2 or higher
- Czech language competency, C1
- Provable publication and project activities
- EU research level: R2 – Recognized
- Practical experience in Landscape Planning and Management as well as the international work experience is welcome
- Self-reliance, teamwork skills
- Communication and organisational skills
Job Description
- Teaching courses in Bachelor´s and follow-up Master´s degree programme Environmental Geography (Landscape Management, Landscape Planning, Ecosystem Services, semester projects)
- Active involvement in Research and Publication activities plus active participation in conferences
- Promotion of the Department of Physical Geography and Geoecology
- Engagement in the Third-Mission of the Department, Faculty and University

The first round of the selection procedure will take place without the personal presence of the candidates by the assessment of the submitted materials by the selecion committee.
The Dean of the Faculty reserves the right to invite only selected candidates to a personal meeting and also the right not to select any candidate. The Dean of the Faculty of Science of the University of Ostrava may also shorten, cancel or repeat the selection procedure.
