Do you want to have some fun experiencing the Czech culture in the second most populated region in the Czech Republic while learning something new and interesting? Choose one of our summer courses that can help you gain some ECTS credits recognizable by your home institution.

12th International Spring School of Social Work for Master’s and PhD Students

April 17-20, 2018, Ostrava, Czech Republic

The European Research Institute for Social Work (ERIS) and Faculty of Social Studies offer an opportunity for Master’s and PhD students of social work to present their thesis or other work in a genuine European academic atmosphere and

  • to get feedback on their developing work from social work academics based in different countries
  • to exchange views and ideas with other international students
  • to extend their knowledge of social work in Europe and in the world
  • to contribute to a new European research network

Not only ongoing projects can be presented but also already finished master and doctoral works. The ensuing discussion will be facilitated by one of the academic staff, and will consist of a critically evaluative debate which will generate ideas for the further development of the work.

Participants from all continents are welcome.

Students and academic colleagues who would like to present their research findings should prepare a 10 to 15-minute ppt presentation based on a 2-page text in English and submit the text no later than February 28, 2018 to the ERIS Office.

The course will take place in Ostrava-Poruba www.ostravainfo.cz.

Fees:

  • Full board (starting with dinner 17.4. and finishing with lunch 20.4.), course, cultural programme - 150.00 €

Participants with special needs (e.g. diet, etc.) should ask the ERIS Office for help.
