Annotation:Course extends knowledge from general toxicology and genetics. Main attention will be given to selected contaminants of the environment and means if its detection, evaluation of biological impact and risks, means of protection and means of contaminant disposal. In the part focused on special disciplines of toxicology lectures will be focused on basic orientation in problematics of veterinary, predictive, military, and industrial toxicology, also to toxicology of intoxicants and psychotropic compounds. In the area of genotoxicology students will be introduced to mutagenesis, different kinds of damage caused to genetic material, mutagenic and genotoxic effects of compounds contaminating the environment and diversity of methods used in studying of mutagenicity.
