The excursion is organised as a five-day round trip (single-days excursions or clustered-days excursions) with professional explanations and visits to important natural and landscape valuable places, including protected areas. In addition to the natural landscape development in the past, the emphasis is also put on the history of human settlement, as this is the determining factor of the current land cover and land use. The students pay the costs associated with accommodation, transport, food and eventual gate-money. The excursion is designed as a low-cost, so some accommodation can take place in tents or on the camp.
