Annotation:This course aims to introduce participants to the complex realm of the Middle East. The focus is on discussing the Middle East's position in international politics and demonstrating the complexity of processes and trends in the region through vertical analysis, with a particular emphasis on the economy, politics, and society. The course aims to demonstrate the connection between history and the present, highlighting the global and local interplay that reveals their common effects on everyday lives in the Middle East. The course will be a mixture of lectures and discussions, and at the end of the course students will have the opportunity to present a paper at the final student conference, where they will have the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of the subject matter. Short tests and reviews will be carried out during the course.
