Annotation:In the final year of the master's degree, an individual learning plan is created after discussion with the student and according to his/her proposal to best meet his/her specific needs. It always involves working on individual original projects, consulted, and guided by the studio teachers. In the earlier period, the student had enough time and space for experimentation. It is now necessary to concentrate on concrete performance and demonstrable results, both in the practical and theoretical part of the course, while the theoretical part must still be divided into the study of literature and the actual work with the text. It is usually necessary to separate the work into differently focused blocks as it can be demanding for the student to simultaneously run the artwork production and the theoretical reflection. During this period, the student's task is to build a broader base of specific information and knowledge, including technological processes and practical experience with them. The student also formulates during this time the principles of his/her creative work. The usual form of work is the production of partial textual or picture studies. Some outcomes can be later used in the final thesis project. In the case of textual work, this involves defining and narrowing down the topic. In the case of practical work, this includes the basic planning of the technical solution and other activities that require the student to start well in advance of the actual implementation. He/she also prepares the conceptual aspect of the project. All these activities must run during this term, as they necessarily precede the preparation of the binding "final thesis assignment" which the student co-creates, and which is confirmed in the second third of the first term. In exceptional cases, it is possible for a student to conduct an internship abroad (e.g., the internship is related to the QW project). The student submits the partial results in an aggregate form when checking the work in progress of the final thesis at the end of the term.
