Annotation:Master's degree in specialization Drawing provides professional training for the author´s career focused primarily on free art. The set of drawing skills in traditional techniques as well as their combinations and adaptations for various modern media and technology becomes the basis for formulating student´s own artistic attitudes and approaches to creation. The teaching program is fully adapted to the specific needs of each student, since the study is intended for both students who have passed the bachelor's degree in the Drawing Studio and graduates of studies at other faculties who have been accepted based on a talent examination. The first part of the study can thus take on vastly different forms, from practical training of traditional drawing skills for those students who are just getting to systematic drawing to a sophisticated discussion of creative intentions with students who have already successfully completed technical training or even have their first author´s performances. The basis of the study plan is a proposal submitted by the applicant during the first interview and later thoroughly consulted with the teachers of the studio. The student admitted to study is invited to divide the planned time of the first study year into time periods that will focus on a selected activity. If his/her earlier technical training allows it, the first term period is a suitable time to re-expand his/her own idea of the possibilities of the studied field. According to the student´s authorial type, he/she chooses the field of techniques and technologies he/she intends to get acquainted more deeply. The choice is based on an offer guaranteed professionally by the faculty internal and external staff. In addition to the drawing itself, the offer consists of a range of graphic techniques, including digital ones, available as part of a study program implemented by the Department of Graphics and Drawing. The recommended direction for making the choice is the area where a drawing overlaps into painting, installation, and object creation. The first term of the master's degree is also suitable for a foreign or domestic internship. The theoretical part of the studio lectures focuses on both comprehensive information on the basic problem areas relevant for art in the second half of the twentieth century, and on the effort to reflect in writing on the form of one's own artwork and its inclusion in the context of contemporary art practice (the text part of the thesis) and in relation to the student´s future application in exhibition operations, galleries, or educational institutions. The thesis includes the systematic construction of a portfolio, including a short textual (3-5 pages) defense of the term project.
