Annotation:Course in Theory and Practice of Stage Interpretation provide students with comprehensive knowledge as to commence their practice in opera environment. The course´s aim is to assist in preparations for theathre performance in the framework of Opera Studio and induce cooperation with all parties necessary for smooth production of a musical and dramatic works. Students get gradually acquainted with various possiblities in creating and conceptualizing of dramatic characters, learn basic acting methods and techniques and build up their knowledge and skills associated with stage movement, stage speech and theatrical makeup. Cooperation with conductor and accompanist when studying the role forms an integral part of lessons. In the course of getting prepared for the performace, the students receive useful feedback and are able to spot errors, verbalize and take notice of them. Students also get familiar with how theathre operates and look into its various segments (stage managment, backdrops, subtitles etc.) Requirements: Acting rendition of an opera aria Participation at opera performance Active course attendance Mandatory of minimum 70% course attendance Content: Acting etudes on a given theme Text analysis and its interpretation Acting rendition of an opera aria Ensemble cooperation Interactions among ensemble characters
