Annotation:The main aim of the course is to provide a critical mass of analytical knowledge about the city through the geographical, economic and sociological lens with the special awareness of real estate markets. In other words, a student will be able to understand how the city works. In doing so, the course is divided into three blocks. In the first block are introduced and discussed key factors, concepts and structures of the city, which are always tied connected with real estate market. In the second block is discussed and evaluate the postmodern city from different geographical scales. In the last block are introduced and analysed selected urban, or more specifically, real estates issues such as residential mobility, consumption or flagship projects. Finally, the course introduces the students to some quantitative and qualitative methods.
